Why do I only see a pending authorization on my credit card?

If you only see a pending authorization on your credit card after placing your order, this is completely normal.

Updated this week

When paying by credit card, the amount is first authorized by your bank and shown as pending. This means the amount has been reserved but has not yet been finally charged.

The actual charge is usually processed automatically shortly afterward. Depending on your bank, it may take a few days for the pending authorization to be converted into a final charge.

If the authorization disappears after several days without a charge being made, the payment may not have been successfully completed. In this case, please check whether you received an order confirmation from us.
